Coaches always say work as a team. I just got back from the Tour De 'Toona and I know one team that wishes they wouldn't have finished the day the way they did.

It was the final race of the day. A 30 mile race around the downtown of Altoona in a race that has become one of the premier cycling events in the US.

It was starting to rain when this crash happened, taking out 6 of the top 10 cyclist. //www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=31780 The race was called after this crash. Points leaders were not affected by the crash. Only two members of team Saturn avoided the crash, four of the six down are from team Saturn. What a way to end a week of racing. The overall points leader was one of the two unharmed members of team Saturn.

I am unsure you are saying to work as a team is good or not.

I work with computers. I have for many, many years. This is a field where traditionally people like to work alone, including me.

My experience, however, is that the final product is always better from a team effort than it is from an individual effort no matter how smart the individual is. (And believe me, we all think we are smarter than the other guy)

BTW, What did you think of our man, Lance, at "The Tour"?

Teamwork is always good but I am sure right now there are a few ladies who's bodies are saying "Did you have to be like the rest of the team and crash?" LOL

Actually the crash caused so many problems that they went to the placement on the lap prior to the crash and called the race due to weather conditions. Strangest thing, three newspapers and two tv stations covered the races...not one of them had a crew or a photographer at the spot where the crash happened. Myself and another woman who does a lot of freelance work through the local papers were the only ones who captured it.
