If your first 10 pix to Shutterstock were rejected

FYI--I had my first batch of 10 rejected a little less than a month ago. Out of my 10 shots, 6 were accepted (7 is needed to open your account). On a whim, I emailed them last night about letting me try again. The guidelines say you have to wait approximately 3 months to re-submit. Well, I went into my account this morning and I can upload a batch of 10 again. So, if you've been rejected recently and you are reasonably sure you can put 10 photos together that they will accept, ask them. I'm going to resubmit tonight, which sure beats waiting another 2 months. Good luck!

This is very interesting. I wonder if anyone else has had this experience. I was rejected the first time too, waited 3 months and a few days, nothing happened, I emailed them, and then they let me submit again. I wish I knew this earlier. I have really enjoyed working with ShutterStock. They are my biggest seller. Good luck :)

Seems no matter what I send, they find something wrong. I have 16 in my account, out of 400 sent. I gave up on them long ago.

Well, I guess third time's a charm, because I just had all 10 accepted. I'm officially in with Shutterstock, so that makes 3 stock sites I'm on. Must keep shooting, editing, keyword-ing... :o)

I also had 10 more pix approved at Fotolia. Now if I could just get some DOWNLOADS, I'd be really thrilled. I was on a little bit of a roll at istock, but the DLs have stalled completely for the past few days. Oh well, it'll pick back up. I guess my best advice now is "don't give up". But you already knew that...
