This weekend Obsidian (Carl) will be in town and we plan to meet downtown to shoot blossoms, people, monuments, kites, and anything else in our way. Anyone interested can join us.
It will be cold and there is a chance of rain but it looks like the peak bloom time will start this weekend.
There is a kite festival on the Washington Monument grounds all day. I was planning on hitting that then going over to the tidal basin for an evening shoot of the blossoms. If anyone is interested, I was going to head over to the DC Fish Market for shots.

Definate maybe... Depending on how the day turns out. :)
Also eyeing the 1st for the main cherry blossom festival.
I've been so recreant about shooting latley I need something to bring me out of my slump. Although the 95% cloud cover and 60% chance of rain makes me hope they call it and use the rain date of Sunday, which would be much better for me personally...
How late will you be on line tomorrow?

One last bump...

I'll probably start around the Washington Monument - Kite Festival. I'll be the one with way too much weight on my back. :) (P&S sounds better every day...) |
