Hi

I can't seem to make my (lower scoring) challenge photos show up in my 'selected' portfolio via Preferences. I wind up having to upload another copy - but I'd much prefer it to be the same file containing the challenge comments. Am I missing something obvious? How can I make this work?

many thanks....

I see a few of ur entrys. try going into portfolio and check the entry photo and scroll down a bit and click "unhide selected" maybe somehow its hidden. I see about 3 versions of your two entry.

smilebig4me1x - Thanks for your input - but what you are seeing are the files I *re-uploaded* because I could not select them from my actual challenge entries. It's my understanding that you can't hide or unhide challenge entries (have tried ;-) haha).

I know this is a confusing and trivial question - but I can't think of a reason that challenge entries themselves would be prohibited from being shown in the 'selected photographs' section.

It looks like you put all your challenge entries in your workshop folder. That's probably why they won't show in your profile. Try moving them to another folder and see what happens.

I had this same issue. I really wanted my Beacon Heights shot to always show up on my profile page but it wouldn't seem to let me choose any challenge photos. I'll check back here to see if anyone figures it out.

If you liked it that much you should have made sure it scored high enough to make your top (4,6, however your preference for images across is set) scores. ;^) Sorry, couldn't resist.

Actually, I just double-checked and I'm not seeing any way to add challenge images to your profile choices. You can add them (I'm pretty sure) to the body of your profile bio area by using the image id #. Check skiprow's profile page...he's using some images that way.

As for showing/hiding challenge images you can't hide the actual challenge entry (that shows in challenge results), but you can decide to display them (or not) in your user's profile (member's only). If you want to hide them, put them in a portfolio folder (collection) and then hide the folder.

Don't hide them if you have a print connected to them in DPCPrints!

I had previously tried moving them to different folders just to see if that would let me select them. But thanks anyway for the idea. And for what it's worth, I don't really want to put them in the *body* of my profile either, just in the 'selected'. The virtual 'firewall' is probably just an artifact of the extra restrictions on challenge entry files (e.g. no hiding etc.). No big whoop I guess, just a little clumsy to work around.

Yeah, oops...I just checked after I posted that and I guess you can't. I'm surprised no one has mentioned it before!
