Take an image you have previously entered and reshoot or edit it based on the comments that it received and the knowledge you have gained since the submission. Do not resubmit a previous ribbon winner.

I like this idea... maybe it would even encourage people to leave more comments...
I know exactly which photo I would redo!!

Ditto. I like this idea. |

I think it's a good idea.
But people could just take their high scoring 6's & 7's photo and immediately do better than others.
I think it should be re-edit a photo originally rated 5.3 or something like that to even out the playing field. |

As a compromise regarding the original suggestion and Tranquil's, how about we just reshoot our lowest scoring photos?
ETA: although I'll have a tough time reshooting mine since it was a photojournalistic shot of a protesting vietnam vet with an artifical leg. Actually, that's not true. My Hands entry continues to tank and should be my lowest score.

Some older photos have scores higher than what they would probably receive in a challenge now. I don't think there should be a cutoff; or, if so, it should be higher. |

Probably the biggest problem with this is the lack of anonymity.

Good idea, but maybe make it 'multiple choice'. I don't wanna go near my lowest scoring image again. Ick. |

yeha, lack of anonymity is a problem here,
but otherwise, a damn good idea! |

An interesting idea but would probably require a special rule because it is illegal to enter the same shot into more than one challenge. The anonymity issue would be harder to get around.

I thought the same shot meant literally the same exact shot as in the same raw/jpg file.
