My God - what do you guys do for income? I got my first digital SLR only 3 months ago (Canon 350D). Used SLR's before that but I must admit -I love it. A lot to learn so it will do me for a while. But what you guys are talking about - The 30D sells for about $2300(Aussie) before you add a lens. The 5D -$5500 and the 1DII for $6500.!!!

I have just updated the 30D test page @ Pbase
The ISO files are now also Jpeg compressed for faster download as well as original...

3200 ISO looks quite good, 1600 is wonderful! I didn't study closely enough, but it looks like the 30D is not losing as much high-frequency detai at high ISO as the 20D. Will be interesting to see Phil Askey's res test on this one.

Heads up for UK buyers ...
30D at RGB-Tech
The best UK price I've seen, superb customer service, and a camera sitting on my desk which was sold out 2 days ago.

can someone tell me the major differences between the eos350d and the 30d.
is there a big big difference between the 2 cameras, technically speaking.
