Maybe this is a stupid question but I just want to be sure: so I need to set the resolution of a photo to 254dpi. I just have to change the resolution in Image/Image size and then set the size I want, or there's more to it?

Thanks in advance.

yes, just set the resolution and the size -- or multiply the size (in inches) by 254 and resize the image to that pixel dimensions. Also, keep in mind that resolution only has meaning when printing.
