Well, a little exposure really does go a long way. As a result of my little interview a couple of weeks ago, I had been inundated with emails regarding services. So far I have gotten a few appointments for portraits including a session for engagement photos and 1 asking about potential services to be rendered for photographing flowers for online sales as well as poster size images in their store. It's a flower shop located in Oakland, CA that is owned by my friend's mother-in-law. Apparently, he had forwarded my DPC page as well as the interview to her and she is really looking into the idea of photographing the bouquets again. The photos they are currently using were done in house with a point and shoot camera and the quality shows. They are looking into something that they can use online as well as in their store.

How much should I charge? What equipement should I bring? I have a 16"x16"x16" light tent but I doubt that would be big enough for bouquets and floral arrangements. Any tips you guys and gals can pass on to a novice? I've taken flower shots but nothing like this. Any experience in this one is greatly appreciated ;)

Thanks everyone ;)

Cheers,

Rikki

treat them like a portrait

large diffuse light source & a big piece of foam core as a reflector
failing that, off camera flash thru a hung white sheet

better find out what they want for a background ....
otherwise get a canvas paint drop & use that ...

better go buy some flowers & practice :)
