Well, it is 02:30 am, just got back from my first ever band shoot - my brother's covers band - and face the uphill task of sifting through 270 pictures!

It was a lot of fun to do but I am so glad I took a backup flashgun as my Metz 45 decided it was time to develop a fault with the power switch: the Vivitar 283 can still (I hope!) do the job.

It was a good idea to take the tripod as I could get some interesting "blur effect" shots. However, it does look as though 400 ASA on the FZ-20 may be a lot noisier than I hoped.

Time for sleep. Hope you guys didn't mind me sharing and I will try to post a couple of the better pics before I head off to the US on Wednesday. Have to admit that I think Bobster Lobster is not under any threat though!

Aw, thanks for reassuring me!
It's horrible when the flash packs in at an important moment, good thing you had another one on you.
Let us see the results when you can!
I seem to remember that ISO 200 on my FZ10 was still very noisy and presumably the FZ20 is worse in that regard... NeatImage is your friend here!
