I just received a mail from circuit city telling me that they already have 30D on stock (only the kit version). I don't know why it isn't available for online shopping, only by phone, what do you guys know about it?

| Local stores here carry it (Canada). They've had it for a few days now. Some have the kit version, others body only. |

Yeah, two stores I went to today had them (In Vancouver)
I pot a deposit for one in Leo's so I'm still waiting for them to get it :( |

Anyone have the inside on when the 30D will be available at B&H?

I just picked mine up from Leo's :)
along with a 24-105 f4L
Now if I don't take half decent pictures there is nothing else left to blame but the one holding the camera :)

Ha! I was going to suggest to you to update your profile with your new camera, and thought I'd refresh one last time just in case you did... and there it was! :-) Congrats on the camera, let us lowly 20D owners know what you think of it and show us some test shots. |

| I put a deposit on one at Bel Air camera (LA) and they said early April--can't wait. :0) The waiting list isn't long there, I think I'm #5. |

I'm very surprised that we got the 30D here in Canada before the USA. It's usually the other way around. (not that I'm complaining ;) )
I just went out for a quick walk before the sun went down and all I can say is DAMN!!! this baby is fast.. I don't have anything to show just yet but I'll get there.
One big difference between this setup and my previous one (Rebel with the 24-80) is that it's waay heavier. I'm sure I'll get used to it, but I defenitelly notice the difference.
Ok.. back to the manual... |
