I'm in Va Beach for a few days for work. I hope to have a few hours of free time.
I moved from here about a year ago, but didn't have the photography bug. So my knowledge of places to shoot is limited. Any ideas for where to take some decent pictures?
Also might entertain the idea of meeting up with other DPC'ers around the area.

How long are you here for? I don't do much of Va Bch anymore...traffic is such a @#$%. I'm in Hampton and spend most of my time on the beaches over here. You just missed the warm spell. Norfolk Botanical Gardens and downtown Ghent are starting to look pretty with trees blooming.

I could be here for as few as 3 days or possibly longer than a week.
Depends on how broken the ship is that I'm down here to work on.
If I get time I just might have to venture to the Botanical gardens. |

Yeah, though the Botanical Gardens are mostly still just trees, they do have a nice little rose garden. And they have some nesting eagles you can see as well. I'm going to the oceanfront tomorrow.. if I think of anywhere I'll mention it here.
A few places that should be nice:
Seashore state park (I think it's called First Landing State Park now?)
Around First Street, there are a few nice spots, and Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge is nice. |

I really suggest that you check out First Landing Park - The Bald Cypress Trail.
Rudee Inlet could also be nice for a sunrise or sunset.
Have fun.
