I'ts renewal time for me.So not having a paypal a/c I decided to use the credit card option' I filled in all the boxes and pushed the button and Iwas declined My credit card number was either invalid or doesn't exist!!!!!! according to this option.
Has anyone had this problem? I live outside the USA.
it looks as if I am back to money orders and snail mail. |

Yeah, Paypal is a serious pain in the keester.
Once you get a credit card registered with them once, it's permanently affiliated. I closed my paypal account and I my credit card is useless now for DPC.
I am here courtesty of notonline and Canada Post.
I like it enough that I will probably beg all my friends to see if someone can help me out. I don't think I can get a lifetime membership courtesy of others. :)
I'd say it's about time they got another method like shareit or something. |

But PayPal is free for the buyer, easy and instant. It also makes for an easy way for the site to collect money, which keeps it running and my addiction fed. Do you guys just prefer added hassles?

Ericwoo, Paypal is only more convenient for North American users. I'm living in Asia and my credit card is Canadian. After 2 months of wrestling with them and a 30 minute call to Idaho at my own expense, I managed to get them to tell me that they were actually unable to override the "fraud protection" and I was simply not able to buy that product.
There were no other obstacles whatsoever.
No, I actually can't stand hassles. I closed my Paypal account that day. Not out of spite, but because it's simply useless to me if I can't make purchases with it because I live in a different country.
Now that I have done that though, my credit card number is affiliated with Paypal's monster machine and if a website uses paypal, I cannot use other forms of payment.
Sure it's great for americans, but it would be nice if there was another option. |

| I did not have any issues when renewing. I have a pay pal acct with a attached checking acct and credit card that are only used with paypal. Limited funds in the cking acct and zero bal on credit card. I do alot of E bay buying and selling and I have yet to experience any problems using Pay Pal. |
