What type of photography do people here prefer most? maybe abstract or landscape? My favorite is black & white persuasive photojournalism.

Prefer taking or prefer looking at?

I like taking abstracts, and I don't really have a preference to looking at, whatever looks nice :)

I'm with Mag. this is tough.
I'll have to say I like a wide variety of photos. I will say I'm always attracted to b&w or sepia work.
As far as shooting photos...the skies the limit!! It's all fun. The beauty of digital is the freedom to explore.

I'm partial to landscape, nature, macro and b&w.

Whenever I'm stuck for subject matter I lean towards macro (of anything) which could turn out to be abstract. There you go, I like abstract macro.

I don't know. I go in cycles. There for a while, I really liked abstract macros, then it was almost a "stock" thing. Now, I am really trying to learn how to capture emotions in portraits.

Black and white is always awesome!

I like shooting kids. Very challenging, fun and above all entertaining at the same time.

I like a photo that makes me feel emotion. A good photograph that will make me smile or laugh or frown or even make me say huh.. is a winner to me.

Yeah, I do, too, but it's illegal in most... oh. Wait. You mean with a CAMERA.

(Yeah, I'm back. Did y'all miss me?)

I really like Macro. Landscapes are awesome but I haven't done much of it yet.

Lately it's been sports and portraits. Specifically, sports-related portraits if that makes any sense. I find people to be the most interesting subjects...

I really like b&w's... and prefer my photos to have emotion, purpose, statements. I am exploring how to make that happen more often.
I guess most of my experience is with portraits.... but I have been enjoying macros and nature photography quite a bit lately.

I love taking macros. You can get really lost in the moment. I suppose that I enjoy looking at any imaginative photo excellently taken.

I love just about any type of photography, but I think I most enjoy urban/cityscape, baseball and live band photography.

Infrared, sunrises, studio shots, bridges, reflections, and always pictures of my kids... I go in streaks on what I like to take. Lately I'd be tickled to death to take a picture that I really truly like. I'm planning on doing that this morning. I've spent this whole month taking crap, including my Garden entry. Its time for a some good shots.

Everything new is nice to shoot but I always come back to portraits in b&w. It´s lovely to take them and even more lovely to look at them.
