I was lucky enough to be on a photo day with a friend in Oslo on the day that the norwegian muslims had a demonstration to mark their distaste of the caricature of Mohamad the Prophet. (It has been a big news thing in europe/the world).
It was a great exercise for my photgraphy as I have never shot any photojournalistic stuff before. I have lots of dead shots due to lack of compentence/knowledge ( many out oof due to slow shutter, wrong AF mode etc.)This and some more I will post later are the best of the bunch IMO.
I tried different PP techniques on the first 4 shots I am putting online. Any comments are highly appreciated.

What does a man need to do to get some attention aroung here? I'm all out of cheese,so that's not an option.
I am really out for some critique on these shots. Thanks.

Michael.
P.s thanks arsenal.

except for the one titled "muslim demo crowd", the other 3 does not seem to "say" muslim demonstration, IMHO. You mentioned this is an attempt at photojournalism, then it would be best if you keep in mind that you ought to capture the moment, the emotions, the rage (example) or something that tells a story about the demonstration? Demo_proud and demo_angry appeared more like potraits? Just my opinion, thanks.

Thanks crayon. I agree that they are protraits and probably seem out of context. I have some more images with the crowd involved, but I didn't get around to editing them. I think that in a series they will give more context to the other shots.
What do you think about them otherwise? technically and pp?

I agree with crayon on all points. As portraits or street candids, though they are very well done. Processing looks good.

Thanks, I will work on the "context giving" shots and post them tonight.

I like this one personally.
The lady holding a handycam sort of spoils the composition (but hey, who cares :p) I'd do a tighter crop around the guy with a fist. The emotions and rage is marvelous.
