I think this is one of my best shots, is there anything I should have done to make it better, in setting up the shot or in PS?

I left you comment. Here is some more advice:
Shoot RAW and when you open the RAW file, set the exposure to way overexposed to lighten up all the dark areas, then save that file, go back to the RAW file, reset to Camera Default and adjust as best you can and then take that file and overlay it on the overexposed one, pick the eraser tool and set the transparency to about 25% and "lightly" erase the dark areas which will gradually expose the overexposed layer a little at a time. You can use the history brush to undo some areas as well. This works well for bringing out the dark eyes.
I forgot to mention in the comments also- the crop is a bit too tight for my liking.
Very cute girl though! :) |

Great expression...for lighting try laying her in front of a large window or glass doors...this will make beautiful catchlights in her eyes as opposed to the tiny ones (presumably from on-camera flash). It will also create much softer shadows, which are more suitable for a baby. |

Thanks guys, it's always good to see what others have to say, I did shoot this in RAW so I'll have to try that tip Art Roflmao, yeah I just checked and I did use flash, I'm slowly learning that the on-camera flash sucks. |
