How do I get the phone lines out of this picture? If the mill didn't sit in the middle of a forrest, and was surrounded by clear blue sky, I could do it easily. But those tree branches pose a problem for me.
Thanks! |

The same way you would for blue sky, with the healing brush and clone tool. But very carefully sampling the right parts.

You could do that or you could just chop down that pole and reshoot. :)
fotomann is right. just use a small brush and take your time. |

Use the line removal tool.
Actually, there is no simple way, and for this, the best way was to zoom in to about 1000%, use the clone tool, soft edge brush set to about 3 pixels, 100% opacity, and use sample points right next to the line and clone it over the line. A little from this side, a little from that side, and soon they be gone.

It's like Brad said, you have zoom way in and clone a little from here, a little from there, etc. Removing phone and power lines is a tedious process. I had to remove the power pole and lines from this pic of my neighbor's cabin last year:
