I plan to reshoot this, possibly tomorrow morning.
I accidentally got the background/foreground mixed up (this is my 3rd time attempting this shot which is an attempt to understand the challenges of shaver's shot from some months ago)
The concept is not original and this is a learning project for me.
I was quite surprised at how fuzzy my face was in the original.
What surprised me the most was when I played with the color channels, boosting the yellows (after I had shifted the red over to blue) brought back a LOT of detail that did not look like it was there in the original.
I don't think motion blur was an issue here. I was sitting still and my camera was tripod mounted.
I feel that it wasn't very sharp, but I thought I had my focus pretty close.
I focused by sitting in place, focusing on the tripod mount and locking focus.
I was limited in the speed of my shot because I don't have a very good lighting setup and I wasn't able to get my light very strong.
I will try this next time. Touchy shot.
Any suggestions? |

Ok, just one bump before I do the reshoot.
It's actually a sunny day, so I'm going to need more time to set up to get it darker... |
