I found this great RAW utility that finally allows you to adjust the RAW file before converting to TIFF :) It's freeware too, so I had to share.
s7raw utility (freeware)
It's for most Fuji cameras with RAW output.

RAW Shooter Essentials doesn't work with the FinePix?

Unfortunately not... Anyway, Crayon; Photoshop CS and CS2 also support Fujifilm RAW. Just download the latest update from their site.

Nope. Not for the Fuji RAW formats.
So I thought I'd share what I found, hope you dont mind the Japanese site.
The bundled RAW program that came with the camera is crap - only allows conversion, no editing!

There is CameraRAW that comes with Photoshop CS2 that works with the Fuji RAW format? |

yup, you have to download the latest RAW file from adobe ...

I heard that RAW convertion programs deliver different files, in colors and everything. Which one is the best (seeing you have a Fuji cam too) ? CameraRAW or the program from Fuji?

I dontuse the raw program from Fuji.,.. it does open then up on my laptop but i usually work in PS CS2 and dont worry about other programs
