Am I allowed to clone out...let's say a little branch that's distracting?
03/07/2006 07:45:42 PM · #2
Nope. there is no spot editing allowed in Basic, and no use of selection tools.

Not in basic editing at this time. Same goes for removing sensor dust via cloning.

ETA: kirbic is quick.

In basic? No. Anything done in basic editing must apply to the entire image. The only way to remove something is to crop it.

Thanks for the quick answers! Back to the drawing, err, cropping board ;-)

How about 'Free Transform'? I justt want to tilt the image a bit. Is that allowed?

If you mean rotating the image that is fine as long as all pixels move the same... You can't rotate part of the image seperate from the rest so to speak...

I'm about to rotate the whole pic, not a part(s).

You can rotate the whole image. But any skew, distort, etc. is not allowed in basic.

Free tranform is not permitted in Basic.

What is free transform?

free transform is a PS function where you can distort, skew, rotate, and do all sorts of odd things to an image to make it appear different. Like on a different plane or different angle. Helps to correct lens distortion and correct horizon bulges. It is under the "edit" menu.
