I am in one more challenge then after that I am gone from DPC.

Someone left a very rude comment on one of my pictures and I decided I don't need to be opening myself up to this kind of abuse. Life is too short and no I don't need anyone's approval to take pictures that make me happy.

For now I am going to continue selling my prints on this site since that seems to be working a little right now, but after Square I am out of here as far as any challenges go.

Care to share the comment?
Being SC, I saw it when you reported it, but just wondering if you wanted to share it here for discussion?

I saw no personal attacks in the comment, so not sure what abuse you are talking about. If by abuse, you mean someone telling you that they didn't really care for your image, then ok...but really, it's just one person's opinion. Do you look up to that person so much that you're willing to give up here just because they didn't like it? No way. You're work is great, and you know it, I know it, 900 other DPCers know it.
Imagine what a boring, dull world it would be if everyone liked all the same stuff and had all the same opinions.

I'd say just let it go. Make a note of how unappreciative that person is, and move on.

There are way more people who like your photos and who appreciate them and will miss them...than that one person who didn't like it.
Long story short...roll your eyes, say 'what do THEY know' and take something stunning for the next challenge.
People repetadly don't like my photos...*shrug*

Sad to hear that! Try not to let comments get to ya. There are some people on here that don't have very much tact when it comes to commenting. I hope you change your mind cause you've got some great work!

Well being the all knowing all caring and all powerful SC did you read my mind? I didn't say I had reported it or that it was even on a current challenge or a past one, why do you choose to try and expose me here? Do you have a personal problem when someone complains that you have to try and discredit them? Great job SC I can't know who is being rude to me but you can state publiclly that I made a private report. Good one. (That sounds like abuse of power by SC...Oh I forgot you people can never be wrong. Sorry.)

See this is another form of abuse, no I don't want to share the comment because the person kept his name hidden which I think is wrong. Secondly you didn't listen to what I said, I never called it a personal attack, I said he or she was rude.

This is why on my PAD I moderate comments. BTW by stating this here and leaving DPC I am letting it go.

And who started this thread? Why even bring it up if you don't want to be "exposed"?

I thought she was being quite kind and considerate to you with comments like ... You're work is great, etc., etc. (insert other kind, pat on the back, words in here)...

MPRPRO, Maybe a break from DPC isn't such a bad idea...you know, chill out, relax a little. ;^)

Goodbye.

(please don't take my message as abuse or being rude, I'm just saying goodbye)

I did not bring up the person who made the comment the place where it was made or that I reported it to SC the SC hbunch did. I was keeping it simple and above board. Hbunch took private personal information (sent to the site council in a private report) and for some reason decided to make it public. For that I deserve an apoligy at least.

I also noticed that my new entry which the SC knows which it is score dropped 1 whole point after I made this post. That's fair too isn't it?

Thank you Makka, my print store will remain but I am not going into any challenges or going to be voting or commenting anymore. I appreciate your thoughts. My PAD is still going and anyone can comment to me on that if you are polite and nice :) We don't have to agree but at least agree to disagree politely.

Like I said before to leave is to let it go.

Oh no! Not the SC conspiracy! ;^)

Grow some thicker skin man! ;)

Maybe you're right though, maybe a place like this isn't for you if your feelings are easily hurt by the masses making comments.

Why people are compelled to announce they are leaving a forum is beyond me though.

I don't think she was abusing her power as SC at all, or being rude, or anything.

She just asked if you cared to share the comment so we could see what you meant, and said she'd already seen it but didn't know what was so bad about it.

Did I miss something?
I say don't leave just because of a couple bad comments, they were probably having a bad day or something, maybe their entry was doing poorly or whatever.

I have to stand behind Heather on this one. She was clearly only trying to be helpful and you seem to be twisting things around, not to mention trying to subtly suggest that the SC has something to do with a drop in your current score.

What was your point in starting this thread?
