I think there is often a lot of reposts of questions already asked because the search function isn't very efficient.

I'd love to see a better search function. I usually do a search before I post a question to the forums, but so many unrelated subjects come up and it makes finding an answer difficult.

Just my 2 cents :)

Easy suggestion to make, and we know we need it.

The hard part is finding a way to do it. Any ideas?

Also, to be honest I don't have a lot of problems with the search. What were you looking for that you couldn't find?

No idea how to do it..LOL I am an idiot when it comes to computer/website programming.

Just in general it is a problem. I get to many matches back, and the majority do not match what I am looking for.

Well the only issue there is that the subject line isn't searched. Your search term "47 steps" appears nowhere in the body of the thread.

Perhaps pruning the forums would improve searching as well. Pruning meaning deleting any thread with no responses.

When I need to find something on forums, and the forum search isn't satisfactory (very few actually are), I just use a google site-specific search.

Just put your query in quotes (or without quotes if you want) and type "site:dpchallenge.com" at the end.

It tends to be a little easier to find stuff than the forum search.

vBulletin -- this suggestion, and the vast majority of all community oriented suggestions are already implemented. And best of all, a small learning curve from what we have currently since the interface is suprisingly similar. ;)
