I am feeling very insecure here! I entered this photo
in Free Study X. And while I really liked the photo at first, during the voting, I came to hate it! Now, it has won a local photo contest and will be featured in marketing materials. What am I to do?
Should it be enhanced as the comments suggested? Should I just let them use it as they voted it?

First and foremost.......give the client what they want. They want the shot as-is. They might not have chosen this image with all of the enhancements.
Don't worry about free-study, that was a different theatre in which to view / judge the image.
By the way - congrats! :)

Have the people who will be using it asked you for a full size original file? That would indicate that they may intend to edit it. I wouldn't edit it away from what you entered into the local contest unless they ask you to.

Give them what they want --- once again, id smart. If you feel you need to edit/change/etc/etc it, do so for yourself - someone's already bought what you sold! (well, entered - but it's all the same)
And congrats!!!!

You guys are right ... I need to leave it alone, at least in my mind. They wanted it like this, so this is how they get it (unless they ask for something else).
Thank you so much. I feel better. And thank you for the congrats! |
