New Photoshop Elements 4.0 user here...I am trying to put one part of a picture into another picture. Both pics are in the palette..I magic extract the item I want to move from one photo then the tutorial says to click OK. It closes the extractor menu, and then it shows me the frame with my selected extracted item.I clicked the check button and the sizing box goes away. It says to now click OK...there is NO OK button at this point. The next step says to go to EDIT>COPY...each time I do that it says I must first make a selection . I also cannot get the other selected photo to go to the layers palette either. I am lost here...any help?? |

well I haven't used elements 4.0, just photoshop cs, so i am not sure I am much help but...
to select a layer, ctrl-click the layer in the 'layers' pallet.. if you do that, you will have a selection at least :S

I don't have 4.0 but in other versions you need to create a new layer and then drag that layer to the other picture. But you can't do it with the background layer it has to be another layer.
