I hear my dad and mom tell stories about growing up and the things they did - climbing trees, playing in the woods all day, swiming anywhere with water, riding bikes everywhere, rock fights, tree climbing - all the classics. Boy do I wish I had been able to do that sort of stuff! I managed some, but not at the same level.
I grew up in a small town suburb, where Nintendos were already taking over. Now I see my younger brother growing up, and he does TONS less of the things that I managed to do. His entire generation is hooked on computer games! He never even got into playing with Legos - I can remember spending whole weekends building things with them.
Geeze, now I'm feeling old too. There's a lot of good things to say about the way some of it was, and it's a shame that some has been lost...
