I shot these using my macro filters. I had my aperature set at f-11. I would like for the flowers to be more sharply focused. What can I do? Is it the impossible dream? Is it my macro filters? I really can't afford a macro lens, and I don't know if Olympus makes one anyway. I even used the macro setting on my camera for the last one. I don't like to use my auto-settings because the pictures seem to come out over exposed.

did you use a tripod or were they hand held?

If you really want sharp focus throughout a macro shot, your best bet is to stop down to f/22 or even more and use a tripod. I would also avoid using the on-camera flash, but maybe some lighting from a side angle would look nice. Good luck!

Definately use a tripod. Even the tiniest of instability is incredibly noticeable when doing macros.

Also make sure you don't get closer than your minimum focusing distance. |
