I'm still pondering why the mom can't be with the boys and why teh dad can't be with the girls. Who thinks these things up with these crazy rules. Why not build the raft better in the beginning?

The rose metaphor is a hint to solving the puzzle. The puzzle can still be solved, regardless of the rose reference. All it takes is a rudimentary knowledge of mathematics and an open mind.

It's totally worth it to solve the River puzzle because you get full access to their porn site. You just have to be patient enough to wait through the characters' calisthenics first.

No, I'm just trying to keep the thread usable for those everyone who sees it after you posted your answer, and pointing out a typical rule of "netiquette" that you may not have been aware of. Not much point to the puzzle if people see your answer before the puzzle it pertains to.
