So, am I correct in my reading of the basic edit rules that you can't remove hot pixels?

When I leave my shutter open long enough to do the painting I'm finding some hot pixels popping up.

You could always do a noise reduction after, I find that works in getting rid of little specks and hot pixels.

Noise reduction will not remove hot pixels. But you can always try dust and scratch removal and set the radius to a minimum and a high threshold... if your picture isn't super sharp to start with, this shouldn't degrade the quality.

Thanks! That worked. Since the hot pixels are one pixel you set the radius to 1 and threshold to 0. Zing... gone.

Learn something new every day.

This was a problem because the Raw Shooter Premium 2006 doesn't work right if the hot pixels are not white. They apparently know about this and are working on it.
