I'm really tickled to have finally bumped my first, and 'til now, highest rated entry out of it's position in my profile page. I'm the first to admit. for me a top 10 spot, is probably a fluke and won't happen again for awhile but I'm enjoying it while I can. :D
Some folks mentioned they would have liked the shot a lot better without the processing I did. I like it both ways but chose the processed version because it gave it the authenticity I was looking for. I'm curious what others think of the original.
Here is the photo in its original state.
here is the entry version
Feedback is always appreciated, of course. :D
I hope I posted this in the right forum...I'm never sure.

Your entry version definitely has more pizazz. As for the top 10 finish, take it and be happy! I have had only one top ten entry (last year) and I still do not know why it scored so well, I thought it was a mediocre photo. But your's is top drawer! |

I think as a photo, I like the original better. But I think the colors in the edited version worked really well for the challenge. It gives it more of that neon 80's look. I think you made the right choice in submitting that one. |

I checked out your top 10 photo and don't think it is mediocre at all. I gave it a 6 and judging by the commments I left during and after voting I would have scored it higher if it hadn't been for the color shift thing that turned out to be my own monitor settings (sheepish grin).
Funnily, one of my highest scoring photos was for the School Days challenge as well.
I am certainly going to enjoy the Top 10 experience while I can. I'm already back to my usual scoring with the Duotones II challenge. :D
