Interested in hearing your thoughts on the photos.
The first two were taken with a Sigma 10-20 at about 12mm f/8 - the third with a Nikkor 80-200 at about 150mm f/8.

I really like that road in the first two. There is this spot off the road about 1/8th mile up from there -- you drive up a little gravel path then you're kind of up above everything (the cops sit there). I go there when I'm bored or lonely or there's nothing else to do and I just sit in my truck and watch cars go around a hairpin turn that's about 1/8 mile up the road from those shots. Then to the right is all woods, so sometimes there's deer or whatever that will walk really close to you when you're sitting there.

edit - here's four hehe Taken a while ago with a Tokina 12-24 ISO 1600 f/4

I like the first best, though the sky in the second is nicer. Left comment on portfolio |

Thanks June. I swear the sigma 10-20 has a polarizer built in or something.

The last one has the most potential, but is very noisy, umm, i mean, has that Nikon look to it. Oh yeah, same thing ;P
Later or tomorrow I'll post some of mypics from today..I want a new lens - a 15-100 2.0 - L quality. I shot a wedding today...
You got the sigma 10-20 - what F stop range is that? how sharp wide open?
After today's expereince I like (love) the range of my tamron 24-135 and with flash it need not be fast. I tried my sigam 18-50 2.8, mostly for side shots as it can be a bit soft at 2.8...the 50 1.8 is great.
I was thinking of dumping the 18-50 2.8 and getting a 12-24 or 10-20, so I got here the long way, but what do you think of your sigma 10-20?

I like them all. I like the first one for the composition. On the second one the crisp blue of the sky appeals to me and just the colors in general and the clarity. As far as the last one goes, I'm all about adding something interesting to a photo to make it more of an artistic expression.
Nice stuff :) |

Left you a comment on the last one. I like it the best. Reminds me of the tree in the intro to Six Feet Under.

Those suck. Ok, just kidding. :)
Also, I like your second one the best. It seems like you made something really good out of nothing. |
