Would an oil lamp or a lantern be considered a moveable light source for the purposes of this challenge.

Sorry, I couldn't locate the previous post, and thought I forgot to hit pot or something. I was at work, and our computers there are about 110 years old.

Edit: I just tried searching by my name to pull up all posts made by me, and I still can't find it!

Easiest way to find your post is to either mark them as "watched" (and then pull up all watched threads at the bottom of the home page), or, if it's recent, go to your portfolio, it lists the last few forum threads you've posted to. Hope this helps :)

Yes, any light source is good but most important you want to avoid flooding the image so selective is the best and this leads to smaller lightsources. Now, you can use an oil lamp and rotated around a subject in total darkness and this will give you a thick streak much like the one i used in the Black Sabbath image. I started it with a lighter but the strek was too thin. In short what you want is a light that you can control to get the effect you want.
