I̢۪ve only entered a few challenges, but thus far, I̢۪ve decided not to vote in those challenges since it seemed like a conflict of interest (not that it really anything at stake, but still). So anyway, I̢۪ve spent most of the day watching my duo-tone entry bounce around in the low 5s and an idea occurred to me.
Obviously, someone shouldn’t be able to vote on one’s own photograph, but there isn’t any technical (or any ethical reason – I’m just being a little anal about it) not to vote on other entries. However, if it were possible to create a voting subset that records the votes registered by only those other people entered into a given challenge, than that subset of overall votes could be tallied at the end of the voting cycle. Then, the results of the overall vote would record the winner of a challenge (as it currently does), but we could also see which image received the highest vote score from other people entered into the same challenge. It might be a cool addition to the overall voting process.
Just an idea. Maybe a stupid one. Maybe this has already been suggested and rejected (I'm pretty new to this). Any thoughts?
