I have read some forum threads where people have commented some photos being too dark or too light. Then some responses are that it looked fine on another monitor. Knowing that all monitors are different, I think it would be a good idea to have a calibration bar at the top of the voting page and maybe on a profile page. I was thinking something like what DPreview has when the review equipment.
DPreview
Scroll to the bottom of this link page to see what I am talking about. It might help with the differnce from one monitor to another.
Just a thought.

Isn't that already at the bottom of every photo you vote on?

KarenNfld, thanks for your comment. I hadn't even noticed it there. On my laptop, all I usually see is the picture, the voting numbers, comments box and the progress bar. I don't usually scroll down since everything was right there. I went back to look and sure enough, it's there. I wonder how many others have missed it, or don't even understand why it is there.
Thanks for the clarification. I should have known it was somewhere, since I like every other thing about this site.

I never noticed it either. Or better, I didn't TAKE notice of it.. so, yes, I think an explanation would be helpful.
Thanks for pointing this out. |

On my monitor at work, I have to turn brightness and contract all the way to 100% to see all the squares. |
