Yeah, that probably means that it will be reversed this time :) Hehe but I think I am getting a couple of DNMC votes so you probably don´t have to worry about me, mine seems to rise a little bit and always get shot down by a 4 or less vote. *Sigh* Well that´s my own damn fault for not making it blatantly obvious that the only thing lighting my shot is a huge ass flashlight, I just am so used too looking at photos and "reading" the light in it, how it was done and lit that I thought people would figure out (well most of yo do anyawys) :)

Edit: Oh and I am quite confident you´ll get a 6+ average in the end, I mean my pile of crap photos that I have posted here have gotten me that and I am still trying to figure out how... :D

You can tell you are in the ribbon hunt if you got up over 11 percent of voters commenting on your image during the voting phase, assuming it isn't isn't a highly controversial image. You are over 12%.
03/03/2006 11:38:38 PM · #133
Well, I have finally completed voting on every entry in this challenge, and some of you may have noticed that your scores have gone up.....

I always go back and look at what I have done re scores and comments, as some images may have bothered me or made me realize that I could increase their score.....

I have adjusted many, so hope you all are happy with your results, as I am not in this challenge, but enjoyed looking and voting on all and every entry.....

Don't think it is that bad, as I loved some very much, and gave quite a few 10's, but also a couple of 2's as well.....

Best of luck to you all.....

Not too bad! It's been slowly working its way up from about 5.5, so if it gets over 6, I'll be tickled pink.

It would be nice if we could get up there and give the good doctor a little bit of a scare but I think that's a little wishful thinking at this stage. ;)

I had been as high as 6.98, but today was a little rough. I should bounce back tomorrow hopefully. That was a nice kick you got there.

For the record generally (and because I'm seething inside and it helps to let it out!) and specifically for the last two commentators on my image who claim it DNMC ....

The only light captured by my camera in this image was from a moving penlight drawing/painting the outline of my subject.

Challenge Guidelines = Use a non-stationary light source (for example, a moving flashlight in your hand) as the primary method of illuminating your subject in a creative manner

So -
Penlight = non-stationary light source ... tick box - YES
Primary method of lighting = penlight only method... tick box - YES

OK, I might not have been as creative as other entries but believe me, it bloody well DOES MEET THE CHALLENGE.

Please resume normal programming, rant over.

Don't worry...I have been getting the same comment and like yours....a small torch. I wish they would go and bite themselves...LMAO!!

I too have just received a coment saying my submission doesn't fit the criteria and surprise! surprise! they've hidden their identity! they don't even give you the chance of saying "well actually you're wrong this is how I did it..."

Would be really nice for you if you cracked the 7.0 Doc - As Spurs said, we still have a few days left and there's always that slight adjustment at the end.

Well, it's been nothing but down since I posted my score, so we'll see GIS. If you've had a good day or two, you could pull this out. I ain't posting anymore though, that's for sure.

Same here doc, a downward spiral from the first day, still well above my average, but dang...
