I think people overestimate print sizes possible, at least if you want to maintain decent quality. at 16x20 one of my scans from a med. format slide, put next to a photo from a d70 (with a great lens the 80-200 2.8)...the d70 print just doesnt look as good. its ok but its rougher, noisier, and the colors just arent as good. going bigger than 16x20 for most dslrs is a pretty weighty stretch in my opinion, you can see some difference. yikes. |

So whats a good MP count for a print of 16x20? |

I'm gonna have to disagree with petrakka. I have a 16x24 on my wall from my 6MP 300D. I think it looks excellent. He may be noticing fundamental differences between scanning and digital and prefer the scan. |

That's cause it wasn't a Canon... ;-)
