True seems strange that such a thing does not exist in the digital world, even not with the 1D I think? Although it does worry a bit as to how it knows where you are looking.

That's the way I have it also. I call it the joystick button, and I have it dedicated to AF points.

I was always surprised this is turned off in the factory settings... i had just assumed that's what it was for. I always find myself quite lost when i use a friend's 10D and want to change AF point.
