Can I convert a XVID to DVD format and burn it as a DVD so I can play it on my TV rather than PC.
If so, any free programs you know of to help me?

sure. you need the codec to read xvid. If you have a dvd burner it should have come with a software that can burn video dvd starting with an mpeg or divx or else... and it's free

Google came up with this--

Conversion

I'm pretty sure I'll need one of these, and it looks like the encoding takes a buttload of time, no matter what proggy I choose..

Thinking I'll try DIKO from that list, since I have DVD decrypter and use it all the time.
