What is the best quality to use for photos for weddings, portraits, etc. in photoshop once the image is ready to save?

I don't think you should save the image as a jpg at all, you lose data. I recommend you save your work in the tiff format (lossless). If hard drive space matters more to you, the second best option is 12 (best quality, the smallest data loss).

many labs don't print psd's. I save mine at 300 dpi & TIF
