Nikon Off-Camera Shoe Cord
I just bought this darn thing and I know Canon makes similar adapter, but can TTL Hot Shoe cords interchange between the Nikon and Canon or am I going to have to buy another cord?
Also, on a related note: will the Nikon Speedlight SB-80 (not i-TTL) work on the Canon? If so, will it only work in manual mode or will TTL work?

I don't believe the pins match. Did a quick search and couldn't find anything that might help you except for this. Not exactly what you are asking about but it may lead you in the right direction. |

I believe it will work as sync only.
Grats on your decision to go dSLR. |

Thanks... I think I may just go with a Canon Off-camera shoe cord and a Sigma or SunPak flash.
My Nikon Sb-28 is getting old anyway, might as well get me a nice Canon compatible flash.
