So we (the DPC community) are getting close to a point where some will fill their allotted space with challenge entries only and then what??? I suggest - as a perk to those that hang for the long haul - when the allocated profile space has filled with challenge shots - with every new entry we should be allowed to delete any previous challenge entry we choose in order to make space for the new entry.
SC? Langdon? C'mon - throw the ones that hang in there a bone?!?!

I was under the impression that challenge entries did not count towards our alloted portfolio space. |

I also didn't think it counted towards your space.

Then what about at a specific level, for server space, say at 100 entries.... |

Sorry, you are correct about challenge entries not counting against profile space - I wasn't thinking through my idea thouroughly, the idea I was hoping to bring to light, however ungracefully, was the idea that DPC tease and promise to the average entrant the hope/future benefit, a chance to, with patience and much leaning, an opportunity to showcase their new (improved) work while removing the new and untrained work after a period of time. In my case, 61 challenges have made a remarkable differnce in my work, but that is nothing - look at those who have entered more than 100 challenges, look at first and compare to last... its amazing. This IS a learning site and people do learn, with dedication and practice. That should be rewarded. I think removing the newbie shots for posterity is a minimal prize for some that have worked so hard.

Removing old challenge entries would invalidate any integrity of older (and awesome) chalenges. Also, if we were all to delete our crap entries, we'd have no scale to measure how far we've really come.
Well, OK, for me, not so much. |

I don't know. That looks like a flawless victory to me. You should have gotten a 10. |

Oh c'mon! If by staying around 100+ entries, I could take my 4.2 out or my 5.1 - that wouldn't affect overall scores and would make my overall portfolio look better - improved as have I. An incentive... a reason to keep going....?

Your challenge entries are not part of you portfolio -- removing them isn't going to change how your portfolio looks.
If all your wanting are the images you entered in challenges to not be in your portfolio anymore, you should be able to remove them. When I go to my portfolio, I have the option to delete my challenge entries. Haven't tried it, and won't since I don't want to remove the history, but it looks possible.
Of course, that wouldn't remove the images from the respective challenges -- and the scores would still be a part of your average.
