Hello,

I am brand new to dpchallenge, so if I am posting in the wrong forum catagory, I apoligize.

I just purchased a Nikon D50 and got a few shots I'd like critiques on.
I have them in a Adobe built gallery here:
Image Gallery

I would love some useful feedback.
Thanks!

I think the studio.jpg is your overall best photo. Its sharp and the lighting and color is pretty good. Overall a good start. I see you like taking macros...

I like all of them, but love none of them. Overall the photo are a bit austere. Good uses of DOF and good colors. Just need to find a subject that speaks more to the viewer to make it pop out at you.

Macro is fun, but the truth is I just don't have the time or motivation to venture outside at the moment. Too cold for me. :)

These images were all taken on the first day I had to play with my new D50. I took what I could find around the house for subjects, and pretty much just expiremented with the shutter, aperature, and white balance. Its a start right?
