Well, itâs that time of yearâ¦.Iâm here to ask for money. Not for myself, but for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). Katherineâs school is sponsoring a âHop-A-Thon.â

Whatâs a Hop-A-Thon?

~Hereâs how it works~
With your help, your child [or as we all know the parents] asks friends, neighbors, businesses and relatives to make a pledge for at least 1 cent per hop using the supplied Sponsor Form [or in this case e-mail]. For example, if a sponsor pledges 3 cents per hop and your child hops 200 times, $6.00 would be collected for MDA.
On the day of the HOP-A-THON, each participant will hop for two minutes, while the other children count. The average number of hops is between 200-300! The exact number of hops will be recorded on your childâs Sponsor Form.â
The HOP-A-THON is scheduled for February 21, 2006 from 3-4 pm with the pledges due on the 24th of February 2006.

I know that almost everyone in here is broke, but any help would be appreciated. Katherine has started practicing her hopping since this came home yesterday.
If anyone is inclined to help just let me know and Iâll add you to the pledge form and send Paypal info (or mailing address) once we get a final tally of how many times she hopped. Admittedly I donât think sheâs going to hop 200 times (sheâs canât seem to make it past about a minute of continuous hopping right now).
