OK, so I bought a lens off of FM last week and it arrived today. This is the lens I thought i ordered, but when I arrived it looks different.
There's no Ap. ring on the one on my camera at the moment... I've searched the web, trying to figure out what lens I got... any ideas? All of the other data seems to be the same... I'll post pics in a bit, but any ideas you might have... |

It's probably the same lens. There's probably one generic image of that lens on B&H's site for all versions of that lens. Some mounts would have an aperture ring, and others, like Canon EOS, won't.
I don't know of ANY EOS mount lenses that have an aperture ring

Canon EOS mount is all electrnic aperturewise, so no ap ring on the lens, any EOS lens. Focus is all you got there.
The older FD mount has it, and Nikons still do too.

Right, that's what I sort of assumed, and originally I was trying to figure out why it did have an Ap ring... Then I got it in the mail and saw there was no ring... and got really confused... [it doesn't take much these days] lol... |
