These are some shots I took along the Potomac River today. I am teaching a beginners digital photography course for 5th and 6th graders as one of the courses for my school's annual Indenpendent Study Week. We went out to Alexandria, Virginia (our school is in DC) to shoot today. I took these shoots on the river banks. Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Left you a few comments. Enjoy teaching the youngsters, but don't teach them too well. We can't have them coming here to take over the DPC ribbon count :)

Haha, I woudn't worry about that too much. A couple of them do show some potential though. And yes, I can't wait for 24 :)

Your shots look very nice. Were you on the docks by the Torpedo Factory and Chart Club? I went down there last month and shot, but didn't succeed in getting nice backdrops or having the river look anything but brown.

Seagull 1 is particularly nice; the sweet contrast between the clarity of the beak/eyes/head with the brezzy softness of the floating wings.
