This photo was voted below average by 40% of the voters during the Best Of challenge. If any of you thought "What was he thinking?" and want to really torture yourselves, I have many more shots of the mundane heretaken on the same day. What more could anyone want?

Hm. Not sure if it's my browser or not, but PBase didn't accept the capitalized letters in the gallery name. This link works for me though :)
Now I'm off to browse the photos ... I rated your Best of 2005 entry an 8 cause I really liked it :)

Thanks I fixed the link. And you're lucky if Pbase accepts your visit at all, it's down half the time. |

Got a 9 from me, but I'm no objective judge; as my challenge history shows, I glory in the mundane. I love ordinary objects photographed in a straightforward way, that compel me to look at them again and again.

My favorite of your mundane is "Rusted". I also like "Tire", "Empty", the one of the rope, and the window screen. |

"I glory in the mundane" gave me a good laugh!
Thanks all for the comments so far. I'm not disappointed with the challenge score...it wasn't exactly your typical photo that everyone would like. I just thought I'd point out the others for those that enjoyed that one. I'm running out of space here and couldn't post them all on DPC.

This was my comment & score:
"Very bold. Successful, too ... enough intrigue to be mentally engaging, and photographically accomplished enough to be worth admiring. That's two reasons to like it. I don't know what it means yet. That's another reason. 8."
I glory in the initially baffling. If I can understand all a photograph offers at a glance, I consider it an insult on the part of the photographer. |
