I recently reading a story on Yahoo News about a lady who started a program giving children in impoverished areas cameras along with classes and they have shows of the childrens work. I cant seem to find the story now but it was interesting. Anyway my husband found the folder of my sons photos last night and I got to thinking about the story. Looking back through my sons pictures I found them interesting. Ive taken some of his better (ie clearer) pictures and resized them.
Just wanted to share. I found his perspective and angle interesting, as well as what he photographed. I feel for the cat though!
If you give a kid a camera |

That's neat. When I have a kid of the appropriate age, I'll probably do something like that too.
Before that I'll have to get married, which will happen in June. In planning, we heard that putting those disposable cameras on the tables wasn't that good of an idea because all that happens is that the kids get them and take pictures of people's butts. |

Cool stuff. My nieces love taking pictures.. they dont quite have composition and timing down, but I didnt either when I was 5 or 6. I might have to find an older P&S Canon or even an HP for one of them for her 7th birthday.. if her mom gets a computer anyways. |

My son is going to be 7 and I let him take pictures all of the time. It's amazing the different perspective you get form around 4 feet off the ground. He does very well with composition too. I try to encourage him as much as possible. My wife and I bought him a inexpensive digital for x-mas and he loves it. |

Kids are amazing! You would have to be living under a rock if you haven't checked out this kid. |

My sister-in-law has to keep an eye on one of my nephews... he has a tendency to grab the camera and run off, at which point she says "No more penis pictures!" |

well my kid is a bit younger than that at 7 years old. I wouldnt call teenagers kids, at least not older teenagers and not while I can still remember being a teenager. Has it really been that long ago? |
