Color and concept are fine in this image. Simplicity and tacit use of the rule of thirds works well here.

A good still life has to be perfect in every way in order to work. Still life shots are studies of lighting and tonality, not subject.

There are some areas you might consider to improve this image. The background appears slightly mottled. A smoother graduation of color might work better. Gaussian blur or stronger noise reduction may accomplish this for you. Placement of the backlighting a little to the left to "center" highlighting both glasses is worth considering.

There are a number of specks on the glasses you might want to clone out. There is some haloing along the outside edges of the glasses that are slightly distracting that you also might want to clone out.

The glasses themselves seem slightly soft focused for a silhouette. A little more USM applied for greater sharpness is worth trying to see how it affects the composition.
