I'll be sending ya'll some PM's in a couple of weeks so that we can get some finalization on times and places.

If anyone wants to help me organize that would be real helpful!

I meant to say....I don't care where we shoot ($ or no)...
BUT! I have never (and have always wanted to) walked across the Brooklyn Bridge. (Just in case anyone else wants to do that too....)

That's a thought... and then there are some great shots of the skyline from Brooklyn Heights and from the Dumbo. It is just that it is more difficult to get there -- it's less centralized. And as far as the money issue goes, I would guess that the majority of us would need to pay for a Metrocard to get us there and back because walking down there from midtown is not really a possibility.

Just my thoughts. Pros and cons.

well if anyone wants to do that I live right near the bridge just let me know, so we can either do it on our way to meet the group or after, either way before or after the meet I probably gonna take the walk, I am always walking across the bridge on my way to work if I'm not in the car.

Well as long as someone promises me a visit to Jacques Torres, I'm game :-p.

We'll see though.

metro card/subway: no problem there

digitalpins: point of origin or final destination--sounds almost like a plan!

start time: I'm free from really (really) early until later....thinkin' sunrise to sunset....when do others greet the day? (I'll be fine starting out with my cadre until everyone wants to meet up...but I plan to be up to greet civil twilight if possible....)

ok well so far lets see what time we are going to agree with the main meeting time for the dpc meet than we can decide what time people want to meet for the walk across the bridge.

Well first question/thought is we can meet on the brooklyn sided before the big DPC meet, theres a starbucks my sister works at thats right upstairs from the 2/3/4/5 train at Jay Street. Or we can do it after the meet and take night shots of the skyline.

I may join you guys for the Brooklyn Bridge walk. However let's keep original plan (Central Park/Central Park Zoo, Top of the Rock) unchanged.

This _is_ a rain-or-shine event, isn't it?

Yeah of course thats was the plan, we were not going to change the original plan at all.

Not sure if its a rain or shine event? if not we need to make a rain date..... Tranquil?

If anyones flying in or making a special trip where there's no turning back or Rain Date option I'll still be more than happy to meet somewhere to do something....even if it's only for a coffee or a beer. Maybe there's some indoor shooting options... don't know?

The Central Park/Central Park Zoo, Top of the Rock is a nice concise plan where there will be plenty of different stuff to shoot and a great walk...there's no way to go wrong...action packed, across the board. I hope we're all on the same page???

I'd say drizzle or shine. I don't think we'll stay outside during pouring rain.

Going to try to get nephew to talk with me tonight...so I'll let you know if we get any details worked out. If it were up to me, I'd be out there for the early light....but it isn't at all necessary. Glad you're willing to be the guide!

ok so since the offical GTG meeting time has been announced other NYC DPC'er and out of towners who wanted to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge we can meet around 8 or 9am (let me know if this is to early). A meeting place I suggest is Starbucks on the corner of Jay St & Court Street. Trains to catch there is 2/3/4/5 to Jay Street then walk uptairs and you should see Starbucks, or A train to Jay Street (you have to walk a block or two and cross a busy street).

Well let me know who's in again let me know about the time, this will give us plenty of time to shoot and walk across the bridge also, there is an area where we can walk and get great shots of the skyline, also a nice park in between the bklyn and manhattan bridge, then a short walk up to the bridge and across and to the official GTG

Just posted here for those who asked, not sure if I should start another thread or not dont want to confuse anybody.
