Can anyone suggest a good power supply to use with the Rebel XT? The Canon ACK700 is approx. $78 CAD and a couple of generic models I've seen on Ebay go for around $15 CAD. I'd rather spend more money the first time around if it meant not voiding my warranty. But again I might opt for a generic solution if I got some positive feedback.
Cheers,
Owen

Anyone ever run their camera off AC even?

Sorry, no.
Another option is to get a $20 Sterlintek battery that has almost twice the juice as the standard batter. That way you'll have your regular and Sterlintek battery, which will get you about 1200 or so shots. I'll bet that's enough for a full day of shooting.

Thanks Yido. I'll have to Google that brand. I did consider a second battery as an option, keeping one on charge all the time.

Thanks Colette.
I checked Ebay and I did find some replacement batteries. Here's one with a "Buy it Now" price of $3.00. There must be a catch. It's probably one of the exploding ones I remember reading about in Pop Photo a while back. //cgi.ebay.ca/HI-CAPACITY-NB-2LH-NB2LH-1500mAh-Li-Battery-4-Canon_W0QQitemZ7589166280QQcategoryZ48516QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
