We have just gotten back from a wild couple of days in Amsterdam and I see only crashed-out, tired photographers in this house at the moment. It will change though, the barbecue is on and the beer is cold and soon we'll be back outside partying again.
Anyway it has been a long week which started last Wednesday evening when the first guest arrived and will continue until this Thursday when Pedro, Joey and Shecoya fly home again. This house has been full the whole time and the most we had sleeping over was 12 photographers on Saturday evening. It has been party EVERY night and most of the time, sunrise the next day did not always mark the end of the parties :)
The workshop and GTG was very successful, thanks to the the amazing amount of work and organisation that Nasti put into it. She was the one who came up with the idea at the Amsterdam GTG in January and she was the one who put the most work into the whole thing, Philos and I were only her assistants.
We met many wonderful DPC'ers from all over the world, and each and every one of you is unique in your own way, and it was a pleasure to get to know you all.
I hope everyone learned something and got some good photos here. I myself took very few photos, but a couple I will post here, for example like this one of Philos, freshly shaved :)
(no comments about blow outs please there is color information even in the highlights :)
We already have some ideas about a 2nd workshop next year. More details sometime in the near future.
Once again thank you to everyone who came this year!

well this is a lively thread...
I´m in Münich now and was hoping to find aKiwi (Peter) online and get him out for a weissen bier :)
Germany has some lovely cities and great architecture, but sofar it has been one of the ugliest landscapes I´ve seen... and I´ve nearly driven a full circle around Germany.. at least I´ll see the Alps tomorrow :)
and still no computer to upload my pictures..... |

Best GTG ever. :)
Seriously, thanks Nasti, Gary, Peter, models and all attendants for a great time. Hope to meet all of you again (soon).
I've uploaded some pics from the workshop, not super. For the studio stuff I had the problem that someone had accidentily shifted my focus point so that I couldn't get focus lock (I use centre and wasn't aware that it had shifted as it is usually locked) so had to manual focus. Manual focus + D70 = hell. Didn't have any good ideas for poses either, so... But it was interesting, learned a lot (the whole weekend long). Later I will edit some non-workshop and Amsterdam pics.
When anyone was wondering why I mainly only uploaded shots of Serdar; Serdar was assigned to my group, really cool guy.
