So, I have a natural gas plant about half a mile down the road from my house. They built an "evacuation tower" (thank goodness for tonight) that releases "excess" gas 24/7 (why prices are high, if ya ask me). Well, tonight I take the trash out and the whole sky is lit up!! Turn and look towards the plant and this 20-30 foot plume of fire is rising into the sky. So, of course, I grab the camera and off I go.
Good thing they did put that in. About a year ago, BIG BOOM and house shakes, again, I grab my camera and off I go. Nothing spectacular, except one guy walking out of a building all smokey (well, spectacular for him).

Even thoughi it was about 32 degrees out and I was between 30-100 yards throughout shooting pictures....you could feel the heat a bit (of course more when closer). If I could have gotten through the fence...marshmallows would have been perfect.
